Caring Transport
Rescuing a pet from another state? Need worry-free transportation and care for your pet during a move? My services are available for individuals and animal welfare agencies. Transport your pet confidently with humane care and round-the-clock monitoring. Ground transport by car is available (and preferred) in all 48 contiguous United States. Air transport is available for all pets accepted as in-cabin companions or a kennel carry-on. Cargo air transport is not available. Current USDA Licensing and Animal Welfare Act Certification documents are available to every booked client. PET TRANSPORT IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE ON WEEKENDS ONLY.
Confidence
Door-to-door pickup and handoff.
Record keeping of all meals, relief and exercise breaks, litter box changes, and socialization time.
I remain with your pet at all times during ground and air transport, including my meal times, minus quick bathroom breaks.
Round-the-clock monitoring for signs of stress and health issues.
Humane treatment at all times, including gentle handling, no physical discipline, shocking devices, yelling, or withholding of food or water for any reason at any time.
Safety
Driving no more than 10 hours daily, between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Safe, quiet, and calm ride.
Pet under control at all times using proper crates, carriers, harnesses, and leashes.
Pet protected from all extreme weather and temperatures.
Pet carriers, mats, and bedding cleaned and sanitized regularly.
Pet waste removed from pet crates, mats, and bedding immediately and disposed of properly.
Only litter mates, mothers with puppies/kittens, and bonded pets allowed to travel in the same kennel or crate. No more than 2 animals in transport at one time (exception for mothers with puppies/kittens).
Compliant with all Animal Welfare Act Standards.
Wellness
Overnight drives include stays at pet-friendly hotels. Pets will be allowed to sleep outside of kennels and crates during overnight travel.
Adherence to all diet and medication requirements as set by the pet owner and/or veterinarian.
Access to water at all times during ground transport.
Clean, cushioned mats and/or bedding in all kennels and crates.
Inspection for ticks and fleas at pickup and after walks.
All bedding treated for fleas and ticks between clients.
Food stored in airtight containers. Water from clean, filtered, or bottled sources only.
Emergency veterinary services located along travel route researched and documented in advance.
No animals less than 8 weeks old unless traveling with a nursing mother.
Compliant with all Animal Welfare Act Standards.
Exercise & Socialization
For dogs, no more than 2 hours of consecutive driving between relief and walk breaks.
Crates and carriers allowing enough space for pets to stand, turn around, and lie down.
No more than 4 hours of time between interacting with pet by conversation and hands-on contact (petting, playing, etc.)
